(click here for last year's buyers in attendance) They are in Los Angeles 5-10 days for serious contract negotiations looking for new programs to view and buy for their region. We have contracted specially priced rooms and suites May 18-28 Intercontinental Hotel Century City/ Beverly Hills for sleeping or exhibiting...plus additional rooms/suites at the famous Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood. Most Independents focus on the first 4-5 days where the chance to set appointments with buyers is somewhat easier than competing with the events scheduled at the Studios. For 2010 the final Up-Front will be on May 21st in New York Marking the start of the studio dates here in Los Angeles. Independents take advantage of the opportunity to meet with buyers a few days before and during the Studio Screenings. Since the Novellas have decided to take over the Major suites on the Penthouse Floor of the Century Plaza Many of the Independents have found the Intercontinental most comfortable with many more suites choices ( approximately 1/2 of the house are suites of varying sizes and prices allowing us to concentrate more exhibitors in comfortable suites which can be used as office and sleeping without having to pay to convert a bedroom into an office with bed removal and furniture rental....plus rent an additional room/s to sleep staff. You will find each suite type pictured, described, prices and floor plans available of each on the website www.lascreenings.us For those who wish to be in a more HOLLYWOOD setting you can take advantage of our special rates at our block of rooms/suites at the Mondrian Hotel ( home of the famous SKY BAR and next to the House of Blues on Sunset Blvd.) rates starting at just $175 per night plus tax.
